Abstract

Charlie St. Cloud is a family drama on the affective bonding between two brothers, when the tragic and premature desoma of the youngest, Sam, takes Charlie to a consciential ectopia, giving up a promising sportsman’s career to keep the promise to practice baseball with his brother, at that moment an extraphysical counsciousness. However, the request for help from Tess, a girl who had a strong affective bond with the protagonist, and was experiencing an NDE after a boating accident, is the driving force behind Charlie’s openeness, which leads him to use his strong traits in favor of wider interassistance. The analysis of the movie allows us to identify various aspects related with Groupkarmalogy, Interactiology, Paraphenomenology and existential program studies.
